العكبر عبارة عن مادة راتنجية ينتجها النحل ولها خصائص مضادة للبكتيريا والفيروسات ومضادة للالتهابات.
البيتا جلوكان عبارة عن عديدات السكاريد المشتقة من الخميرة والتي تحفز جهاز المناعة وتعزز استجابته للعدوى.
